Privacy Policy — FEU Tech GWA Tracker

FEU Tech GWA Tracker ("the extension") helps FEU Institute of Technology students compute their GWA and Latin honors standing from their own grades on the SOLAR student portal. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

Summary

• Everything the extension reads is stored only on your device, in your browser's local extension storage.
• The extension has no server. It sends nothing to the developer or to any third party.
• No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no accounts.

What data is accessed

When you open your Grade Report on solar.feutech.edu.ph and use the extension, it reads from that page:

• Your student number (from the page URL) and the name shown in the portal sidebar — used to label your data.
• The grades table for the displayed trimester: course code, course title, section, units, midterm grade and final grade.
• The list of trimesters in the page's Term / School Year dropdown.

When you press Sync, the extension submits the page's own Term / School Year form once per trimester — the same request the page makes when you click Submit — using your existing logged-in session, and reads each returned grades table. The extension never sees, asks for, or stores your password or Microsoft sign-in.

How the data is used

Only to compute and display, inside the extension popup, your per-term, per-year and cumulative GPA, your Latin honors band and eligibility flags, and a term-by-term trend.

Where the data is stored

In chrome.storage.local on your device. It is not synced to any cloud service and never leaves your browser. Uninstalling the extension deletes it. You can also delete it at any time from the extension menu ("Delete all tracked data") or export it as a JSON file for your own use.

What is not collected

• No browsing history, and no data from any website other than solar.feutech.edu.ph.
• No credentials, cookies or session tokens are read or stored by the extension.
• No personal data is sold, shared, or transferred to anyone, for any purpose.

Permissions

• storage — to save your synced grades locally.
• Host access to https://solar.feutech.edu.ph/* — to read the Grade Report page and fetch other trimesters with your session.

Third parties

None. The extension bundles all of its code and fonts and makes no requests to any service other than the SOLAR portal you are already logged in to. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by FEU Institute of Technology.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
